Le programme Wehubit est principalement financé par la Belgique et est mis en œuvre par Enabel, l'agence belge de développement.
Il est guidé par un comité de pilotage, qui est l'organe stratégique supervisant la gestion du programme. Les membres permanents du Comité de Pilotage sont :
un représentant de la DGD, ministère belge de la coopération au développement (Présidence).
un représentant de BIO, la société belge d'investissement pour les pays en développement.
un représentant d'Enabel, l'agence belge de développement.
Le Secrétariat du Comité de Pilotage est assuré par le Manager de Wehubit.
Depuis mai 2021, Wehubit est également financé par l'Union Européenne, dans le cadre du « Programme UE-ACP de Réponse Numérique au Covid-19 », mis en œuvre par l'AFD et Enabel.
Wehubit 1.0 - 2018-2023 :
Between 2018 and 2023, a first Wehubit programme received its core funding from Belgium, and has been implemented by Enabel, the Belgian development agency. It was guided by a Steering Committee, which was the strategic body overseeing the programme management.
The permanent members of the Steering Committee were:
a representative of DGD, the Belgian ministry of development cooperation (Chairman).
a representative of BIO, the Belgian investment company for developing countries.
a representative of Enabel, the Belgian development agency.
The Secretariat of the Steering Committee was ensured by Wehubit’s Manager.
From May 2021, Wehubit was also funded by the European Union, under a 6th Call for Proposals implemented by AFD and Enabel.
