The case of Kavumu: a model of medicolegal collaboration

On July 27, 2018, in a landmark judgment, the High Military Court in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) upheld the conviction of 11 men, including a provincial lawmaker, who had been found guilty in December, 2017, of crimes against humanity for the rape of dozens of young girls and for murder in the village of Kavumu.
